Lawrenny village is situated in the heart of Pembrokeshire's National Park. It is a quiet and peacefull village surrounded by countryside. The vilage has an excellent website - www.lawrennyvillage.co.uk
There are lots of excellent walks including a 3 mile trek around the tidal estuary known as Daugleddau (The Estuary where both the Eastern Cleddau and the Western Cleddau meet). Which brings you around to the Quay where you can stop at the Tearooms for a tasty bagette or a cup of tea and a piece of cake.(open from Easter to September) or you can stop at the Lawrenny arms for a drink and a meal.
The village has a postoffice /general store. There is also a cricket club and the 12th century St Caradoc's Church. If you take the walk past the church and up the hill you are rewarded by excellent views of the Cresswell and Carew rivers.
Trust Cottage is just under a mile from Lawrenny Quay which has an excellent concrete slip, not too busy and usable for long periods during the day. The estuary is ideal for sailing, canoeing and there are large areas suitable for waterskiing. If you head up the estuary towards the Cleddau Rivers you will enter the wild bird santuary.
